Day 1|Welcome to Ulaanbaatar — Arrival

Airport transfer, 1 hr

Meet your crew and settle in; the National Museum and city centre fill the afternoon before the reception dinner.

Day 2|Ulgii Town — The Kazakh Capital

Fly 2 hrs

Fly to Ulgii, westernmost city of Mongolia, with time for the town centre and its museum.

Day 3|Tavan Bogd National Park — To Basecamp

Drive 6–7 hrs

A thrilling drive to the Tavan Bogd basecamp, pausing for petroglyphs, cave paintings, deer stones and burial mounds — the open-air archive of the Altai.

Day 4|Ranger's Base Camp — Up Malchin Peak

From the ranger's camp, the big day: the long pull up Malchin Peak (4,037 m) for sweeping views of the Five Holy Peaks and the glacier world below.

Day 5|Ranger's Base Camp — The Glacier Day

A second high day — walk to the Potanin Glacier's edge, recover the legs, or repeat the summit in different light. The mountain decides; you choose.

Day 6|White River (Tsagaan Gol) — The Milk-White River

Trek down the strange white waters of the Tsagaan Gol and pitch camp at the river's most beautiful bend.

Day 7|Khoton & Khurgan Lakes — The Twin Lakes

On to the joined lakes of Khoton and Khurgan, ringed by peaks — camp by the shore where Kazakh herders summer their flocks.

Day 8|Khoton & Khurgan Lakes — Lake Day

Hike into the flanking mountains for a bird's-eye view over both lakes, watching for argali, ibex, relict gulls — and the tracks of the cats that hunt here.

Day 9|Ulgii City — Out of the Mountains

Drive 6–7 hrs

The long, striking drive back to Ulgii, and the deep pleasure of a hotel after a week under canvas.

Day 10|Ulaanbaatar — Capital Finale

Fly 2 hrs

Fly to Ulaanbaatar for the Dinosaur Museum, cashmere shopping and the Tumen Ekh ensemble.

Day 11|Fly Home — Departure

Airport transfer, 1 hr

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
